A music producer who found a new obsession in code.

I discovered programming through a JavaScript course at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. What was meant to be a module on interactive music turned into the reason I write software for a living. Coding had the same creative pull as producing, but it could also tell me when I was wrong. Turns out I found that comforting.

That tension between freedom and constraint is what keeps me here. I build full-stack applications now, but the way I think about the work hasn't really changed since that first course.

Balance – budgeting app

A budgeting app I built for myself and my wife to get a clearer picture of our shared finances and monthly spending. Building something for your own use turns out to be a good way to learn what actually matters in a product: the things that seem important while building rarely line up with what matters when you're using it day to day. And since I used AI for a lot of the code generation, I learned a good amount about what it actually means to maintain good engineering practices in that context.

Stack
React, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL
Infrastructure
Self hosted on a local network Raspberry Pi using docker compose
Status
In active monthly use

Proof that I go outside sometimes.

Foggy road lit by sodium street lamps receding into darkness
Lone figure standing under street lights in dense fog
Warm wall lamp glowing through a window at night
Raindrops resting on green leaves
Close-up of rain-covered leaves
Autumn tree with vivid red foliage against a pale sky
Abstract plant texture in black and white
Cascading weir among trees in black and white
Brutalist concrete water tower among pine trees
Curved apartment building at dusk with glowing street lamp

Say hello.

I'm one message away from a conversation about software, music, or why fog makes everything look better.
